Ash & Olive features original works by local artists — painters, mixed media artists, and makers whose work resonates with the warmth, craft, and character of our space. Our wall is small and intentionally curated, which means we're selective. We're looking for work that stops people mid-bite.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We receive more submissions than we have wall space for, so we encourage you to review these guidelines carefully before reaching out.
What we're looking for:
We're drawn to work with a strong point of view — pieces that reward a second look. Technical skill matters, but so does feeling. We gravitate toward original paintings and mixed media work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and collage, as well as resin, textile, and woven pieces that complement our space. We love color, light, and work that has something to say.
Scale & presentation:
All work must be professionally framed or finished and ready to hang. We generally look for pieces starting around $350, though we'll consider smaller vignette-scale works (5x5 and similar) at lower price points if the work is exceptional. Canvas boards are not accepted.
Style & fit:
Our space has a European sensibility — warm, intimate, textured. Work that reflects a sense of place, mood, or craftsmanship tends to fit well here. We're not the right home for every style, and that's okay.
Commission structure:
- Pieces up to $250 — 20%
- Pieces $251 and up — 25%
These rates are well below standard gallery commission and are designed to be fair to artists while covering transaction and handling costs.
